Blue Ridge is pleased to announce a new program that supports innovation in the classroom. The Bright Ideas program will award grants up to $1,000 to support classroom education curriculum that cannot be covered by traditional school financing. The application process will begin on August 1st with grants awarded in November.

Bright Ideas is open to educators in kindergarten through 12th grade working in schools in Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative's service area. Designed to help teachers introduce innovative teaching methods, grants will be awarded for projects in any discipline. Selection of grant recipients will be through a competitive evaluation process.
