TCTC Dedication Ceremony
Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative, along with other donors, was thanked during the August 17 Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony of the Oconee Campus of Tri-County Technical College. Located at the Oconee Industry and Technology Park on Highway 11 in Westminster, the new campus is central to Seneca, Walhalla, and Westminster, providing easy access for the residents, businesses, and industries of Oconee County.
Program offerings at the campus will support manufacturing in the region. President and CEO Jim Lovinggood, along with Zach Hinton are pictured above with TCTC’s President, Dr. Ronnie L. Booth and Grayson Kelly from the college foundation. The Blue Ridge logo is prominently displayed in the classroom bearing its name.
“We’re so proud to be a part of this much needed addition to Oconee County,” explains Lovinggood. “We have focused on industrial recruitment for many years and these efforts have paid off. However, new or expanded industry means that we need well-trained individuals to fill those jobs. This new facility will train high school kids as well as re-train adults looking for additional skills.”
The Oconee Campus is open and ready for students. For information on classes offered visit tctc.edu.
