 The Total Electric Conservation Rate schedule offers customers a discount of about 8.5% less than the cooperative's regular Residential rate. All electric homes qualifying for TEC must meet certain insulation and weatherization standards that are outlined in the rate schedule. With TEC, the member benefits in a number of ways:
- Lower price per kilowatt hour
- Reduced electricity consumption
- Higher comfort level
- Stronger resale value of a TEC certified home
The conservation loan program offered by Blue Ridge is designed to assist members in qualifying for the TEC rate.
