Because life is so busy, it may not be convenient for some of our members to take the time to come to one of our offices to transact business. In a response to meet the changing needs of our members, the cooperative opened one of the first Call Centers among the Electric Cooperatives in South Carolina. Established in 1998, Blue Ridge Electric’s Member Services Call Center handles over 14,000 calls a month. Each representative receives extensive training, including field training so they are prepared to handle the call when it comes to the Center, therefore eliminating the need to transfer a call to another department. The Member Services Representative will complete your service request while on the telephone which will insure efficiency and accuracy. The Call Center also allows the Member Services Representatives in the offices to give better service to our walk-in members as the calls that were previously coming into the offices are now handled by our Member Services Center.
