69th Annual Meeting Held
A cool, cloudy evening saw about 5,000 persons present for Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative's 69th Annual Meeting of Members.
Blue Ridge Employees Judge Future Scientists
Blue Ridge employees participated in the annual science fair at Orchard Park Elementary on Tuesday, January 13, and at A. R. Lewis Elementary on Monday, December 8, by judging entries from 4th and 5th grade students.
Annual Tree Lighting is a Festive Event
On Tuesday, November 27, Dave Holland accompanied by his wife and granddaughter pushed the button and once again, the Blue Ridge Christmas tree came to life. The expressions on the faces of the crowd never change from year to year-the wonder and excitement of Christmas is visible.
Successful Annual Meeting
Warm May temperatures greeted the estimated 6,500 individuals who attended Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting of Members on Tuesday evening. Preliminary entertainment was provided by Blazing Bluegrass and Tugalo Holler, a pair of area musical groups. After the conclusion of the business meeting, The Chuck Wagon Gang entertained the crowd.
Spring Blood Drive - Helping Those In Need
Blue Ridge Electric employees recently rolled up their sleeves to donate blood during the Co-op’s annual spring blood drive. Over seventy employees, family members and community members participated in the event making this our most successful blood drive ever.
Annual Tree Lighting Held
On Tuesday, November 28th, Blue Ridge held the annual community Christmas tree lighting ceremony to kickoff the holiday season.
