Check ID’s at the Door
Sep 1, 2006

Don’t open your door to a stranger even if he says he’s there to make repairs. Always make it a practice to ask utility workers for identification, even if they’re wearing hard hats and utility vests, because those could be cheap props.

All Blue Ridge employees as well as contractors are provided with identification badges to show the public. “We are never offended if someone asks us for ID,” said Sam McMillan, Operations Manager. “In today’s world, it’s a good idea to be extra cautious. Certainly, we are more than happy to show our company identification to anyone who asks to see it.”
