Blue Ridge Fest raises $142,000 for local charities
Jul 21, 2009
One of the best parts of Blue Ridge Fest 2009 just happened the week of June 22nd. The money could not have come at a better time as most charities are struggling now more than ever. Economic hardships have sparked heavy financial burdens making it more challenging every day to assist those in need.
As checks were given out, each charity expressed sincere gratitude to the employees at Blue Ridge for their "true, giving spirit." Great Times, Great Causes truly becomes a reality when the dedication and commitment given by the employees of Blue Ridge Electric and Blue Ridge Security to reward those in need, right here at home. The planning and hard work that goes into this one weekend gives hope to the charities all year long.
Sincere gratitude is expressed to everyone in the community who attends Blue Ridge Fest each year to make this event successful so charities in out own community can benefit!
Corporate sponsors also stepped up this year and their continued support has helped us to raise $952,000 in twelve years. Next year, Blue Ridge Fest will approach a giving total of one million dollars. Blue Ridge Fest has already received a $10,000 commitment from Quality Inspection Services for Blue Ridge Fest 2010.
