 What is a Co-op?
Cooperatives are not-for-profit, member-owned businesses. Electric cooperatives were formed over 70 years ago with the specific task of electrifying rural America.
Who We are
Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative was organized on August 14, 1940. The Cooperative started operations with 1,680 members inherited from the South Carolina Rural Electrification Authority.
Service Area
The cooperative supplies electric service in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens and a small portion of Spartanburg counties located in Upstate South Carolina.

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative takes great pride in its work force. Our goal is to keep our organization staffed with individuals who are both knowledgeable and competent.
